RESOLUTION NO. 9508
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON REPEALING RESOLUTION NOS. 7885, 7967, 8699
AND 8981
WHEREAS, on December 19, 2001, the City Council of the City
of Vernon adopted Resolution No. 7885 amending the 2001-2002 Salary
Resolution respecting City Administrator/City Clerk benefits; and
WHEREAS, on May 15, 2002, the City Council of the City of
Vernon adopted Resolution No. 7967 declaring its intent regarding the
City's administrative organization; and
WHEREAS, on April 13, 2005, the City Council of the City of
Vernon adopted Resolution No. 8699 approving City of Vernon Financial
Policies and Procedures; and
WHEREAS, on March 1, 2006, the City Council of the City of
Vernon adopted Resolution No. 8981 authorizing the Acting City Clerk to
make necessary purchases on behalf of the City of Vernon in connection
with expenditures for Light & Power, including gas and wholesale
electric purchases, subject to ratification; and
WHEREAS, City's staff have determined that Resolution Nos.
7885, 7967, 8699 and 8981 are unnecessary and for purposes of clarity
should be repealed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby

repeals Resolution Nos. 7885, 7967, 8699 and 8981.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution,,and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
