RESOLUTION NO. 9602
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 9362 BY AMENDING AND
RATIFYING THE AMENDMENT OF SALARY SCHEDULE NO. VI
REGARDING THE COMPENSATION COSTS AND BENEFITS OF
ITS EMPLOYEES
WHEREAS, on July 16, 2007, Resolution No. 9362 was adopted
by the City Council of the City of Vernon amending and restating
Salary Resolution No. 9342 to be effective on July 8, 2007 (the
"Salary Resolution"); and
WHEREAS, on April 7, 2008, the City Council of the City of
Vernon adopted Resolution No. 9581 amending, in part, Schedule VI,
Exhibit F, of the Salary Resolution to implement adjustments to the
positions of Internal Control Manager and Controller in the Finance
Department; and
WHEREAS, the salary increase for the position of Assistant
Finance Director in the Finance Department was changed on the amended
Schedule VI of Resolution No. 9581 but the reference to the increase
was inadvertently omitted in the body of the Resolution; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires to
ratify the amended Schedule VI, Exhibit F, which was made effective on
April 7, 2008 by Resolution No. 9581; and
WHEREAS, Schedule VI, Exhibit F, of the Salary Resolution
provides for the positions and salary scales of positions within the
Finance Department; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires to
create the position of Staff Accountant in the Finance Department with
the appropriate salary scale; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
approves and ratifies the amended Schedule VI, Exhibit F, of Resolution
No. 9581 that was effective on April 7, 2008, respecting the salary
increase for the position of Assistance Finance Director in the Finance
Department.
SECTION 3: Effective April 21, 2008, Schedule VI, Exhibit
F, of the Salary Resolution is hereby amended as indicated on Exhibit A
which is attached hereto and made a part hereof by this reference to
implement the creation of the position of Staff Accountant in the
Finance Department with the appropriate salary scale.
SECTION 4: The provisions of Resolution Nos. 9362, 9373,
9389, 9453, 9469, 9491, 9526, 9549, 9568 and 9581, not consistent with
or in conflict with this resolution are hereby repealed; in all other
respects, Resolution Nos. 9362, 9373, 9389, 9453, 9469, 9491, 9526,
9549, 9568 and 9581, shall remain in full force and effect.

SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
