RESOLUTION NO. 9621
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPOINTING AVIGAL HORROW TO SERVE AS THE
DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES
WHEREAS, on April 21, 2008, the City Council of the City of
Vernon adopted Ordinance No. 1146 creating the Human Resources
Department; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1146 will be effective on May 21,
2008; and
WHEREAS, on April 7, 2008, the City Council of the City of
Vernon adopted Resolution No. 9581 amending the Salary Resolution to
create a salary schedule for the position of Director of Human
Resources in the Human Resources Department effective May 21, 2008;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires to
appoint Avigal Horrow to serve as the Director of Human Resources.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
appoints Avigal Horrow to serve as the Director of Human Resources
effective May 21, 2008, with no additional compensation, until such
time as the City Council approves her removal or appoints another
person to said position.
I SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
2 certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
3 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
4 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of May, 2008.
