RESOLUTION NO. 9702
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON EXCUSING LEONIS C. MALBURG FROM ATTENDANCE
AT MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL AND BOARDS AND
COMMISSIONS FROM FEBRUARY THROUGH MARCH 2O07 AND
EXCUSING THOMAS A. YBARRA FROM ATTENDANCE AT
MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL AND BOARDS AND
COMMISSIONS FROM MAY 19, 2008
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon (the "City") is a municipal
corporation and a chartered city of the State of California organized
and existing under its Charter and the Constitution of the State of
California; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 3.8(a) of the City of Vernon Charter states
that one of the grounds for forfeiture of a councilmembers office is
the absence from three consecutive regular meetings of the Council
without the permission or excuse of the Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to excuse Leonis C.
Malburg from all the meetings of the City Council as well as all
meetings of other boards and commissions from February through March
2007;
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to excuse Thomas A. Ybarra
from all the meetings of the City Council as well as all meetings of
other boards and commissions from May 19, 2008.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF'VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby

excuses and/or permits Leonis C. Malburg from attendance at all City
Council meetings as well as all other meetings of Boards and
Commissions from February through March 2007.
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
excuses and/or permits Thomas A. Ybarra.from attendance at all City
Council meetings as well as all other meetings of Boards and
Commissions from May 19, 2008.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
