A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
3 VERNON APPROVING CONTRACT NO. CS-10014 FOR THE CITY
4 APARTMENT COMPLEX PARKING LOT AND AUTHORIZING
NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS OR BIDS IN
5 ACCORDANCE THEREWITH
6 WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council of the
7 City of Vernon Contract No. CS-0014 for the City Apartment Complex
8 Parking Lot; and
9 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
10 determined that it is in the best interest of the City of Vernon that
11 said contract be advertised in accordance with the Vernon City Code.
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
13 CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
14 SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
15 finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
16 and correct.
17 SECTION 2: Contract No. CS-0014 for the City Apartment
18 Complex Parking Lot is hereby approved and accepted by the City
19 Council of the City of Vernon.
20 SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is hereby
21 directed to file in the office at_,the City Hall of the City of Vernon
22 a copy of said contract.
23 SECTION 4: The City Clerk,of the City of Vernon is hereby
24 directed to give notice, in writing, inviting sealed proposals or bids
25 for City Apartment Complex Parking Lot in accordance with Contract No.
26 CS-0014 and in accordance with this resolution.
27 SECTION 5: There being no newspaper of general circulation
28 printed, published or circulated in the City of Vernon, the City'Clerk

Ilis hereby directed to post said notice, or cause the same to be
posted, in three of the most public places in the City of Vernon, to
wit: the northwest corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue, the
lnortheast corner of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard, and on the
Ilbulletin board located outside on the wall near the second floor
entrance to the City Hall of said City, located at 4305 Santa Fe
Avenue, all in the City of Vernon, County of Los Angeles, State of
California.
SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is hereby
directed to post said notice forthwith and the first posting of said
notice shall be not less than ten (10) days before the opening of the
bids for the proposed contract. Said notice shall provide that sealed
proposals or bids will be received by the City of Vernon at the office
of the City Clerk of'the City, at the City Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue,
Vernon, CA 90058-0805, until the hour of 2:00 p.m. on the 5th day of
November 2008.
SECTION 7: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
