3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPROVING AND RATIFYING THE ACTIONS TAKEN IN
4 TERMINATING THE TENANCY OF MARCOS ALDANA AND ELYSHA
5 ALDANA AT THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 3378 E. 5OTa
STREET IN THE CITY OF VERNON

7 WHEREAS, the City of Vernon (the "City") is a municipal
8 corporation and a chartered city of the State of California organized
9 and existing under its Charter and the Constitution of the State of
10 California; and
11 WHEREAS, the City owns a housing unit located at 3378 E. 50th
12 Street in the City of Vernon (the "Housing Unit"); and
13 WHEREAS, the Director of Industrial Development desired to
14 terminate the tenancy of the current tenants of the Housing Unit,
15 Marcos Aldana and Elysha Aldana (collectively, the "Aldanas"), as soon
16 as possible; and
17 WHEREAS, on or about November 12, 2008, the City Clerk
18 served the Aldanas with a 60-Day Notice to Quit terminating the month-
19 to -month tenancy of the Aldanas effective January 11, 2009; and
20 WHEREAS, the City Council desires to approve and ratify the
21 actions taken by the Director of Industrial Development and the City
22 Clerk in terminating the tenancy of the Aldanas.
23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
24 CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
25 SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
26 finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
27 and correct.
28 SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby

approves and ratifies the actions of the Director of Industrial
Development and the City Clerk in executing any and all documents
necessary for the purpose of terminating the tenancy of the Aldanas
effective January 11, 2009.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of November, 2008.
