RESOLUTION NO. 9802
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF AES ENTERPRISES, INC.
IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 610 OF THE CITY OF
VERNON
WHEREAS, AES. Enterprises, Inc. was awarded Contract No. 610
for the Citywide Sewer System Closed Circuit Television (CCTV)
Inspection pursuant to Resolution No. 9596 of the City of Vernon; and
WHEREAS, Samuel Kevin Wilson, Director of Community Services
and Water, has reported to the City Council of the City of Vernon that
said work has been completed and recommends that the work be accepted
and payment be made to the Contractor in accordance with the
agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: The work of AES Enterprises, Inc. pursuant to
Contract No. 610 is hereby approved and accepted by the City Council
of the City of Vernon.
SECTION 3: The total contract amount including change
orders is Two Hundred Ninety Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy -Seven
Dollars and Seventy -One Cents ($290,877.71). Therefore, of the funds
due to AES Enterprises, Inc., the sum of Forty -Two Thousand Eight
Hundred Seventy -One Dollars and Twenty -Two Cents ($42,871.22) is now
due. The remaining ten percent (10%), or the sum of Twenty -Nine
Thousand Eighty- Seven Dollars and Seventy -Seven Cents ($29,087.77),
1 is payable thirty-five (35) days after the recordation of the Notice
2 of Completion, except such amounts as are required by law to be
3 withheld by properly executed and filed notices to stop payment, or as
4 may be authorized by the contract to be further retained.
5 SECTION 4: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
6 directs payment of said sums as set forth to AES Enterprises, Inc. and
7 instructs the City Clerk to file a notice of completion with the
8 County Recorder.
9 SECTION 5 The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
10 certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and thereafter
11 the same shall be in full force and effect.
12 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of January, 2009.

awarded to AES Enterprises, Inc. on April 21, 2008 through Resolution No. 9596 and the work has now
been completed.
The final total contract amount, including three change orders is Two Hundred Ninety Thousand
Eight Hundred Seventy Seven Dollars and Seventy One Cents ($290,877.71). The final payment of Forty
Two Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy One Dollars and Twenty Two Cents ($42,871.22) is now due.
