RESOLUTION NO. 9826
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON PROVIDING FOR THE RECOGNITION OF CERTAIN
SIGNATURES ON WARRANTS ISSUED BY THE CITY OF VERNON
TO WITHDRAW FUNDS DEPOSITED BY THE CITY OF VERNON
IN ANY BANK ACCOUNT
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon adopted Resolution No. 9422 on
October 2, 2007, authorizing certain people to sign checks to withdraw
funds for the City of Vernon; and
WHEREAS, Thomas A. Ybarra has resigned from the City Council
of the City of Vernon effective January 5, 2009; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
appointed Richard J. Maisano to serve the unexpired portion of
Councilman Ybarra's councilmanic term; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reorganized and desires to
establish procedures to provide for the recognition of certain
signatures on warrants issued by the City of Vernon to withdraw funds
deposited by the City in any bank account.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That any of the following named persons are
hereby authorized to sign checks to withdraw funds for the City of
Vernon and all banks used by the City, including but not limited to
the Bank of America, The Bank of New York Mellon Trust Company, N.A.
and East West Bank, are hereby authorized to honor and pay any and all
checks so signed, including those drawn to the individual order of any
officer or person authorized to sign the same and to endorse for
deposit checks and drafts payable to the City of Vernon:

SECTION 2: All resolutions, or parts of resolutions,
specifically Resolution No. 9422, not consistent with or in conflict
with this resolution are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect.
