RESOLUTION NO. 9832
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPOINTING SHARON DUCKWORTH AS ACTING DEPUTY
CITY, CLERK
WHEREAS, Section 2.7 of the Vernon City Code provides that
the appointment of a City Clerk shall be by resolution; and
WHEREAS, on May 7, 2007, the City Council of the City of
Vernon adopted Resolution No. 9312 appointing Kristen Enomoto to fill
the position of Deputy City Clerk with no additional compensation; and
WHEREAS, on November 6, 2007, the City Council of the City of
Vernon adopted.Resolution No. 9455 establishing that employees holding
the position of deputy in the City, including but not limited to, the
position of Deputy City Clerk shall, in the absence of their director,
have all the same powers, duties and responsibilities of their
respective director; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires to
remove Kristen Enomoto as Deputy City Clerk and to appoint Sharon
Duckworth to serve as the Acting Deputy City Clerk with no additional
compensation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines 'that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
appoints Sharon Duckworth to serve as the Acting Deputy City Clerk
effective immediately, until such time as the City Council appoints

her the Deputy City Clerk, approves her removal or appoints another
person to said position.
SECTION 3: The Deputy City Clerk shall in the absence of
the City Clerk have all the same powers, duties and responsibilities
of the City Clerk.
SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter thesameshall be in full force and effect.
