RESOLUTION NO. 9835
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPOINTING MEMBERS AND ALTERNATE MEMBERS TO
REPRESENT THE CITY OF VERNON ON THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICT NOS. 1, 2
AND 23
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon has been a member of Districts
1, 2 and 23 of the County Sanitation District (collective, the
"Districts") for many years; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires to
appoint members to represent the City on the Board of Directors of the
Districts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
appoints the following members of the City Council of the City of
Vernon to serve on the Board of Directors of County Sanitation
District No. 23:
Leonis C. Malburg, Mayor
Hilario ("Larry") Gonzales, Mayor Pro-Tem
William Davis, Councilman
William M. ("Michael") McCormick, Councilman
Richard J. Maisano, Councilman
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
appoints Leonis C. Malburg, Mayor of the City of Vernon, to serve as
its Presiding Member on the Board of Directors of County Sanitation
District No. 1 and hereby appoints Hilario Gonzales, a member of the
1 City Council, to serve as the City's alternate member on the Board of
2 Directors of County Sanitation District No. 1. The alternate member
3 of said District No. 1 Board of Directors shall act in place of the
4 presiding officer of City Council of the City of Vernon during his
5 absence, inability or refusal to act as much member of'said District
6 Board. Such appointments shall be effective until the death,
7 resignation, disqualification or subsequent removal by the City
8 Council of such representatives.
9 SECTION 4: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
10 appoints Leonis C. Malburg, Mayor of the City of Vernon, to serve as
11 its Member on the Board of Directors of County Sanitation District No.
12 2 and hereby appoints William Davis, a member of the City Council, to
13 serve as the City's alternate member on the Board of Directors of
14 County Sanitation District No. 2. The alternate member of said
15 District No. 2 Board of Directors shall act in place of the presiding
16 officer of City Council of the City of Vernon during his absence,
17 inability or refusal to act as much member of said District Board.
18 Such appointments shall be effective until the death, resignation,
19 disqualification or subsequent removal by the City Council of such
20 representatives.
21 SECTION 5: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
22 directs the City Clerk, or her designee, to send a copy of this
23 Resolution to:

27 SECTION 6: Any resolution or parts of a resolution or
28 minute orders in conflict with this Resolution are hereby repealed.

SECTION 7: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
