RESOLUTION NO. 9841
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPOINTING A REPRESENTATIVE AND ALTERNATE
REPRESENTATIVE TO THE DIRECTORATE OF THE CENTRAL
BASIN WATER ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, on February 5, 1974, the City Council of the City
of Vernon adopted Resolution No. 4211 appointing Leonis C. Malburg,
Mayor of the City, as its official representative on the Directorate
of the Central Basin Water Association; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires to
appoint a representative and alternate representatives to represent the
City on the Directorate of the Central Basin Water Association.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
appoints Leonis C. Malburg, Mayor of the City of Vernon, to serve on
the Directorate of the Central Basin Water Association; Hilario
Gonzales and Richard J. Maisano, members of the City Council, to serve
as the City's alternate Directorates on the Central Basin Water
Association; and the Director of Community Services & Water, or his
designee, to serve as the City's alternate with the Central Basin
Water Association. Such appointments shall be effective until the
death, resignation, disqualification or subsequent removal by the City
Council of such representatives.

SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
directs the City Clerk, or her designee, to send a copy of this
Resolution to the Secretary of the Central Basin Water Association.
SECTION 4: Any resolution or parts of a resolution or
minute orders in conflict with this Resolution are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of February, 2009.
