RESOLUTION NO. 9844
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPOINTING THE CITY'S REPRESENTATIVE AND
ALTERNATE REPRESENTATIVE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE INDEPENDENT CITIES LEASE FINANCE AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, on June 20, 1989, the City Council of the City of
Vernon adopted Resolution No. 5633 entering into a Joint Powers
Agreement Creating the Independent Cities Lease Finance Authority
("ICLFA") with several cities for the purpose.of providing low-cost
sources of financing for the acquisition, construction, installation
and/or equipping of public capital improvements; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Resolution No. 5633, the City
Council appointed representatives of the City to serve on the Board of
Directors of the ICLFA; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires to
appoint a representative and alternate representative to represent the
City on the Board of ICLFA.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
appoints William M. McCormick, a member of the City Council, to serve
as the City's representative on the Board of Directors of the ICLFA
and hereby appoints Richard J. Maisano, a member of the City Council,
to serve as the City's alternate representative on the Board of
1 Directors of the ICLFA. Such appointments shall be effective until
2 the death, resignation, disqualification or subsequent removal by the
3 City Council of such representatives.
4 SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
5 directs the City Clerk, or her designee, to send a copy of this
6 Resolution to the Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Independent
7 Cities Lease Finance Authority.
8 SECTION 4: Any resolution or parts of a resolution or
9 minute orders in conflict with this Resolution are hereby repealed.
10 SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
11 certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
12 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
13 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of February, 2009.
