Resolution No. 098461 K 3 4 5 6 71 8' 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 RESOLUTION NO. 9846 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON APPOINTING REPRESENTATIVES TO SERVE ON THE HEARING PANEL FOR.THE LOCAL ENFORCEMENT AGENCY FOR SOLID WASTE FACILITIES WHEREAS, on March 3, 1992, the City Council of the City of Vernon adopted Resolution No. 6055 designating the City of Vernon Health Department as the Local Enforcement Agency,for Solid Waste Facilities pursuant to Public Resources Code Section 43203; and WHEREAS, by Minute Order dated March 3, 1992, the City Council of the City of Vernon appointed members of the City Council as the Hearing Panel for the Local Enforcement Agency; and WHEREAS, on January 12, 2009, the City Council of the City of Vernon adopted Resolution No. 9809 appointing Richard J. Maisano to serve the unexpired term of Councilman Thomas A. Ybarra; and WHEREAS, due to its recent reorganization, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires to appoint a Hearing Panel for the Local Enforcement Agency in accordance with 14 CCR § 18060 and Section 44308(a)(1) of the Public Resources Code. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true land correct. SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby appoints the following members of the City Council of the City of Vernon to serve as the Hearing Panel for the Local Enforcement Agency 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 for solid waste facilities in accordance with 14 CCR § 18060 and Section 44308(a)(1) of the Public Resources Code: Leonis C. Malburg, Mayor Hilario ("Larry") Gonzales, Mayor Pro-Tem William Davis, Councilman William M. ("Michael") McCormick, Councilman Richard J. Maisano, Councilman SECTION 3: All filings and correspondence to the City of Vernon Hearing Panel shall be mailed to: City of Vernon, LEA Hearing Panel Attention: Health Department 4305 Santa Fe Avenue Vernon, CA 90058 (323) 583-8811 SECTION 4: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby directs the City Clerk, or her designee, to send a copy of this Resolution to the California Integrated Waste Management Board. SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
