3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
4 VERNON AMENDING RESOLUTION N0. 8824 REGARDING
COMMONWEALTH ASSOCIATES, INC.

6 WHEREAS, on August 3, 2.005, the City Council of the City of
~ Vernon adopted Resolution No. 8824 approving an Agreement for
g Professional and Technical Services with Commonwealth Associates, Inc.
g (the "Agreement".); and
10 WHEREAS, the Director of Light & Power has recommended that
11 Resolution No. 8824 be amended to eliminate all references to the
12 Vernon Power Plant as the Agreement was intended to cover a variety of I
13 services relating to engineering, plant and system operations,
14 environmental analysis, and/or construction management as may be
15 required;- and
16 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires to
17 amend Resolution No. 8824 to eliminate all references to the Vernon
18 .Power Plant in the Resolution.
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
20 CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
21 SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
22 finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
23 and correct.
24 SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
25 amends Resolution No. 8824 by eliminating all references to the Vernon
26 Power Plant.
27 SECTION 3: Any resolution or parts of a resolution or
28 minute orders in conflict with this Resolution are hereby repealed.
1 SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
2 certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
3 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
4 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of March, 2009.
