RESOLUTION NO. 10,009
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPOINTING DAN NEWMIRE TO FILL THE UNEXPIRED
TERM OF A MEMBER OF THE CITY COUNCIL, LEONIS C.
MALBURG, NOW RETIRED
WHEREAS, Leonis C. Malburg has resigned from the City Council
of the City of Vernon effective July 1, 2009; and
WHEREAS, CH: 3.7 of the Charter of the City of Vernon
provides that any vacancy -in the City Council may be filled by
appointment of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires to
appoint Dan Newmire to the City Council of the City of Vernon to fill
the unexpired term of Councilman Malburg; and
WHEREAS, Dan Newmire is a resident of the City of Vernon and
qualifies for said appointment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
appoints Dan Newmire to fill the vacancy in the City Council of the
City of Vernon created by the resignation of a member of the City
Council, Leonis C. Malburg, to serve the unexpired term of said
Leonis C. Malburg.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and thereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect.
