RESOLUTION NO. 10,021
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 9639 BY AMENDING
SCHEDULE NO. XIV, OF SAID RESOLUTION REGARDING THE
COMPENSATION, COSTS AND BENEFITS OF ITS EMPLOYEES
(AMENDMENT NO. 10)
WHEREAS, on June 16, 2008, the City Council of the City of
Vernon adopted Resolution No. 9639 to be effective on July 6, 2008,
regarding the compensation, costs and benefits of its employees (the
"Salary Resolution"); and
WHEREAS, Schedule No. XIV, Exhibit N, of the Salary
Resolution provides for positions and salary scales of positions
within the City Attorney Department; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires to
eliminate the position of City Attorney and create an additional
position of Assistant City Attorney I in the City Attorney Department
with the appropriate salary scales; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes to
amend Schedule No. XIV (Exhibit N) of the Salary Resolution to
implement the aforementioned changes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
thereby finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are
Itrue and correct.
SECTION 2: Effective July 13, 2009, Schedule No. XIV
(Exhibit N) of the Salary Resolution is hereby amended as indicated on
Exhibit A, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof by this
reference to implement the changes within the City Attorney Department
1 with the appropriate salary scales.
2 SECTION 3: The provisions of Resolution Nos. 9639, as
3 amended by Resolution Nos. 9664, 9672, 9678, 9728, 9815, 9888, 9906,
4 9942 and 10001 not consistent with or in conflict with this resolution
5 are hereby repealed; in all other respects, Resolution Nos. 9369, 9664,
6 9672, 9678, 9728, 9815, 9888, 9906, 9942 and 10001, shall remain in
7 full force and effect.
8 SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
9 certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
10 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
11 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of July, 2009.
