U SOLUTION NO.2010-149
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON COMMENDING
RICHARDS, WATSON &i GERSHON AND LAURENCE S. WIENER FOR THEIR SERVICES
TO THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, Richards, Watson & Gershon ('RWG) has provided the City of Vernon with City
Attorney services since July 13, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Laurence S. Wiener ("Wiener") of RWG has served as the City Attorney for the City
of Vernon; and
WHEREAS, RWG and Wiener have also provided Legal Counsel services to the Redevelopment
Agency and the Vernon Natural Gas Financing Authority; and
WHEREAS,, effective November 1, 2010, RWG and Wiener have resigned from the service of the
City of Vernon; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon, individually, collectively and on behalf of the
businesses and residents of the City of Vernon, wish to commend RWG and Wiener for their services to the
City of Vernon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby takes this opportunity to commend
Richards, Watson & Gershon and Laurence S. Wiener for their services provided to the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby accepts the resignation of Richards,
Watson & Gershon and Laurence S. Wiener effective November 1, 2010, and extends best wishes for
continued success in whatever endeavors they may undertake.
SECTION?: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certify to the passage, approval and
adoption of this resolution, present a copy thereof to Richards, Watson & Gershon and Laurence S. Wiener
and the City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall cause this resolution and the City Clerk's certification to be
entered in the File of Resolutions of the Council of this City.
