A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPROVING AND ACCEPTING A FIRE LANE EASEMENT
FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2825-2831 SANTA FE AVENUE
AND APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A
QUITCLAIM DEED AND CERTIFICATE OF.ACCEPTANCE IN
RELATION THERETO
WHEREAS, On Santa Fe Partners, LLC ("On Santa Fe") previously
recorded a Fire Lane Easement providing the City of Vernon's Fire
Department access through adjoining parcels, that they own, located at
2825 Santa Fe Avenue (the "Property"); and
WHEREAS, On Santa Fe has requested a modification to the
easement to accommodate changes to their site development; and
WHEREAS, On Santa Fe Force has delivered to the City a fire
lane easement deed dated November 7, 2012, dedicating in fee the
Property to the City, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A;
and
WHEREAS, the dedication will meet the City of Vernon's Master
Plan of Streets and will be used for the maintenance of a fire vehicle
access lane; and
WHEREAS, by memo dated November 20, 2012, the Director of
Community Services and Water has recommended that the City accept the
,Fire Lane Easement Deed and approve the execution of the Quitclaim
Deed and Certificate of Acceptance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the above recitals are true and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
accepts the interests in real property conveyed to the City of Vernon
by the Fire Lane Easement Deed (the "Easement Deed"), approves the
Easement Deed and consents to the recordation of the Easement Deed,
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
authorizes the Mayor or Mayor Pro-Tem to execute the Quitclaim Deed
and Certificate of Acceptance, copies of which are attached hereto as
Exhibit B, accepting the Easement Deed for, and on behalf of, the City
of Vernon and the Interim City Clerk, or Deputy City Clerk, is hereby
authorized to attest thereto.
SECTION 4: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
instructs the City Administrator, or his designee, to take whatever
actions are deemed necessary or desirable for the purpose of
implementing and carrying out the purposes of this Resolution and the
actions herein approved or authorized.
SECTION 5: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
authorizes the Director of Community Services & Water, or his
designee, to submit the Easement Deed to the County Recorder
SECTION 6: The Interim City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage, approval and adoption of this resolution,
and the Interim City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall cause this
resolution and the Interim City Clerk's certification to be entered in
the File of Resolutions of the Council of this City.

Enclosed for your consideration is a Quitclaim Deed and a fully executed Fire Lane
Easement from On Santa Fe Partners, LLC; for the properties at 2825-2831 Santa Fe Avenue.
The Quitclaim releases and quitclaims a previously recorded Fire Lane Easement. The
Easement to the City is for the maintenance of a fire vehicle access lane at the above mentioned
location. The location of the easement has been updated to replace the quitclaimed easement. The
updated easement has been reviewed and approved by the Code Inspector in the Fire Department.
The City Attorney's office has reviewed and approved the Quitclaim and Easement Deed
as to form.
I recommend that the Quitclaim Deed be approved and the Fire Lane Easement be
adopted and the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute.

The Community Services Department has reviewed and approved the Fire Lane Easement and
Quitclaim Deed for the property located at 2825-2831 Santa Fe Avenue.
The Quitclaim releases and quitclaims a previously recorded Fire Lane Easement. The Fire
Lane Easement has been updated to replace the quitclaimed Easement. The updated easement has
been reviewed and approved by the Code Inspector in the Fire Department. The Easement to the City
